Lynda, Curriculum Developer

I am a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Canada. My teaching certification is from UNC-Chapel Hill. My first career was as a computer programmer for 3M Canada. After going into sales for a few years, I decided to get my teaching certification. I have been teaching high school Computer Science and Math for 24 years. I was a teacher at Leesville Rd High School for 18 of these years and recently retired in July 2017. Three years ago I was chosen as one of the top 100 Computer Science Teachers in the nation and was invited to the White House. I was also a pilot teacher for the new course AP Computer Science Principles. I have also specialized in teaching the following courses: Computer Science 1/2 and 3/4 in C++, JAVA in AP Computer Science A and SAS programming. I also have taught Trigonometry, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. Outside of work, I have a passion for travelling and have visited many countries in every continent on earth with the exception of Antarctica (but it is still on my list of things to do). I also love caring for my new grand-daughter, and enjoy sewing, singing and DIY projects. I am excited about joining CAML and working with students to create amazing things.
